Diane, I have to agree with Kailey, about your shading! I enlarged it and have just stared at your shading! Very nice!!! And the delicacy of your Moebius symbol speaks love!!!! :0) Share Humanity
Thanks again everyone. I am not confident with color and you know the cure - keep trying! I used Prismacolor color pencils. I found three shades of purple and I did what I have been told to get depth - I layered the colors. The white was a bit of a challenge and you can see where it is a bit pink. The white color pencil was unable to overpower the purple underneath by itself - a case for leaving color off altogether where you want highlights! Let the white paper do the job. So I used my Gelly Roll white. That is when I got the pink. The Gelly Roll mixed with the purple to make pink. So, I finally got some white by first using the white pencil heavily to cover the purple and then I dabbed the Gelly Roll on to bold up the white - it mixed less with the purple this way and looks more white. All of this was experimenting and I have to say that, this time, experimenting was fun.
Wow, beautiful knotted. I too had the idea of using that tangle, but just couldn't see how I should use it. You did just the right thing on this string.
Love it with the ribbons of purple knotted together!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I like the way you create the möbius strip with this great tangle Mak-rah-meh! Very creative!
ReplyDeleteThis is so neat! Your shading is spot on and the purple looks gorgeous. Nice job :)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Lonett - thanks for the pattern name. It was trying to recall the name.

ReplyDeleteUnique take on the challenge. I like the Mak-rah-meh logo. Your layering of the colors looks great. I am still working on that.
