January 7 "Tile•A•Day" Zentangle

The day started out with a long checklist and denial!  My students know that I believe a busy day requires meditation, and a very busy day requires double! Today is just a typical busy Monday with a checklist for the week staring at me and I told myself I didn't have the time.  With lunch time approaching, I grabbed a tile and sat down.  I set a timer as well to keep myself from my other problem area of getting way off track.
I picked a check mark for my string - couldn't get that list out of my head so I decided to honor it. Again I left the patterns up to anything but my own choice, this time using my "Bag of Tangles."  Students may recognize the bag as the ones you now receive your class materials in.  If you didn't know, you can use your micron pens to tangle the bag too!  It is a lot of fun to tangle on fabric.
My results on today's tile show a couple of moments of lost concentration.  Ten points to whoever can find those moments!
Happy Tangling!

  1. It's in your bottom row of cubine. Actually, I like the effect it makes. So it's true, "there are no mistakes in Zentangle(r)."

  2. So true, isn't it?! Those two make one great departure from what I thought I would draw, I also got to thinking about my day - i.e. fell out of the zone - and on the "jetties" (round balls) drew a curve in the wrong direction - hard to see at this scale....and the earth kept spinning despite it all. :o)
